MICAH FREEDMAN (Urgentino, Associate Producer) With QED: Gabriel in Mad Forest, Chorus in Jean Anouilh’s Antigone, Valentine in Arcadia. Other NYC: Joe Pitt in Angels in America,  Demetrius in Midsummer, Malcolm in Macbeth, Antipholus of Ephesus in Comedy of Errors, Manders in Ghosts. Regional: Fiddler and Almost Like Being in Love (Barter), Showboat and Phantom (Gateway), Music Man (Mill Mountain). Micah graduated from Stanford University where he studied Music, Acting and Computer Science. Television: Charles McBride on FX’s Starved. Danced on Metropolitan Opera stage in Benvenutto Cellini and Faust, both directed by Andrei Serban. Training: Stanford University, BA; Columbia University, MFA Acting. 2003 Laura Pels Acting Award recipient.

ANGELA JEWELL (Dementia, Lasagna, Official) A Native to Colorado, Angela received her B.F.A. from Chapman University in Southern California. Post graduation Angela studied at Shakespeare and Company's January Intensive, the life altering experience has impacted her art and her life. Since moving to New York she has appeared in numerous television and film projects. She is thankful and excited for her New York theater premiere with Q.E.D. and delighted to be a part of this incredible creative cast.

MATTHEW MCIVER (Suffici, Sailor, Gaoler, Man from the Piave) New York credits include Party Discipline for the Subjective Theatre Company (of which he is a member), Dracularama for atm, Tripping for trip and directing the U.S. premier of The Darling Family. Regional credits include Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest at American Stage, Evan Wyler in As Bees in Honey Drown at Charlotte Rep, Danceny in Les Liaisons Dangereuses at the Wilma Theater, and an international tour with Shenandoah Shakespeare.

JULIA BEARDSLEY O’BRIEN (Rivera, Associate Producer) Julia is an actor, director and teacher. Her most recent directing project was QED's Mad Forest. As an actor, favorite roles include Irina in Three Sisters, Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker, Marianne in Tartuffe and the title character in The Book of Ruth. She is a proud member of Visible Theatre, a community of writers and actors committed to process and social change. BA in theater from Messiah College/Temple University. MICK O’BRIEN (Carpeta, Sound Designer, Associate Producer) Seen most recently as 1st Guard in QED’s Antigone. Other recent NYC credits include QED’s Arcadia, Robert Honeywell’s Greed: A Musical Love Story and Michael Gardner’s King Lear (both for the Brick), the critically acclaimed one-man show The Christmas Suicides and World Gone Wrong (Gemini CollisionWorks), Nevada Territory (DMTheatrics), Madness & Joy (Cirque Boom), and Dracularama (Alternative Theatre Machine). He’s a professional reader of the poetry of Walt Whitman (Walt Whitman Project), and has designed sound for all of QED’s productions to date, among others. He currently wants to move to Bucharest and take the entire cast with him. He loves Julia madly.

CHRISTIAN PEDERSEN (Ostensibile, Mourner, Sailor, Workman)  NY Theatre:  Peace Now!, Historic Times, The Long Goodbye, Spare, Babes and Brides, Lake, Summer of the Swans and last month’s Impulsitive which was a finalist at the 13th Annual NYC 15 Minute Play Festival. Regionally Christian has performed at Shakespeare Theatre of NJ, Berkshire Theatre Festival, and Connecticut Free Shakespeare. TV/film credits include Chappelle’s Show, As the World Turns, All My Children, The Animal Kingdom, Scallop Pond, and The Other Woman. Much love to the QED cast and crew for a great show!

COREY TAZMANIA (Supporta, Sordo, Pastaccio) is in her first production with QED. Recent credits include a staged reading of June Finfer's The Glass House (Lincoln Center, 59E59) and The Taming Of The Shrew (The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey). Other credits: Straight On 'Til Morning, I Will Come Like A Thief (78th Street Theatre Lab); A Child's Guide To Innocence (New Jersey Repertory Company); Macbeth, The Tempest (The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey); and toured nationally with The National Shakespeare Company.

Staff

Alicia Barron (Producer, Props Mistress) joins QED after a recent move to NYC. She is a classically trained singer/dancer who is addicted to supporting the arts and fundraising/dabbling in technical work. Credits include Oliver, A Little Night Music, Anything Goes, Bye, Bye Birdie, The Sound of Music, and many more spanning from LA to Austin, TX to Little Rock, AR.

NEIL BECKER (Scenic Designer) Neil Becker graduated from Cornell University with a double major in Theater Arts and Philosophy. Recent credits include Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges (NYU), Mad Forest, Jean Anouilh’s Antigone (QED Productions), Puppetmaster of Lodz (Mirth), Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris (AUTP Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts), Sara Clemens’ The World is a Vampire (Scenic and Lighting design), Whole Day Down (Risley Theater) as well as No Exit, (Schwartz Center Black Box).

AMY ELIZABETH BRAVO (Costume Designer) holds a BA from Cornell University. Design credits include: Real Danger, (mis)Understanding Mammy: The Hattie McDaniel Story, and Elephant Girls (Off-Broadway); Dedication, Tav, Fall Eatfest 2006 Series A, B and C, Once On This Island, The Long Christmas Dinner, A New York Christmas Carol, The Marriage of Bette and Boo, and Einstein’s Secret Letters: A Love Story (Off-Off Broadway). AmyElizabeth also works for TheatreworksUSA as a wardrobe supervisor and stitcher.

Bunch of People (Judd Hollander & Cynthia Leathers, Publicists) Judd has been a theatre publicist for over 10 years. Among the many companies that have trusted Judd to publicize their works are Actors Stock Company NYC, Boomerang Theatre Company, QED Productions, Oberon Theatre Company, West Side Repertory, Invisible City, and all seven (soon to be eight) Midtown International Theatre Festivals. ANGELA DEMATTEO (Stage Manager) Angela is excited to be working with QED for the first time. With Visible Theatre Inc. she was Managing Producer and ASM of the Off-Off Broadway show, Krankenhaus Blues. Angela also appeared in Visible's production of The Ballad of Round Eyes as Ruth. She is a company and board member of Holmdel Theatre Company. Angela holds a BA in Theatre from Muhlenberg College. She is a proud member of Visible Theatre's LAB and Writing Circle.

Ashley Herron (Associate Producer) Ashley Herron has been a jack-of-all-trades in dance and theatre all over the country for over 20 years. Her credits include last year’s Arcadia, Annie, Anything Goes, Joseph…Dreamcoat, Once on This Island, Music Man, Jekyll and Hyde, and many more both on stage and behind the scenes.

NIGEL HOLDER (Run Crew) Born in Trinidad, West Indies, now lives in Brooklyn. Was involved in theatre and fashion in his native country. Last worked with Frigid New York and Most recently Tribeca Film Festival and is very excited to be a part of QED Productions.
Carolyn Louth (Graphic Designer) graduated from Louisiana State University with a BFA in Studio Art and Graphic Design. A passion for the arts and a career in design led her to New York City, where she currently lives, works and plays ultimate frisbee.

Joe Novak (Lighting Designer) Design credits include: Off-Broadway: Odds Bodkin’s The Odyssey (Lincoln Center), Off-Off Broadway: Macbeth (Another Theatre Company), Midnight Invisible Theatre Company, and several dance and musical events including Penny-4-Eyes. TED PALLAS (ASM, Sound Board Op ) Ted is a Junior Theatre Design and Production major at Fordham University at Lincoln Center. He is currently also production manager for Diverse City's appearance at the Asian American Theatre Festival as well as their up-coming mainstage season. He also sound designed two one-act plays as part of Keen Production's Keen Teens program, both premiering at Theatre Row.

ZANDER TELLER (Director, Associate Producer) is a founding member of QED and directed our first two productions (Stoppard’s Arcadia and Anouilh’s Antigone, which he also translated from the French). He has extensive experience and training as an actor and holds an M.F.A. in acting from the University of California, San Diego. He also holds a B.S. in physics from Stanford University.
